Eco Materials

At tentree, we strive to produce ethically sourced, fashionable clothing with eco-friendly materials, while still giving back to the Earth. We believe that what you wear matters. Staying true to mother nature, we have introduced more eco-friendly materials to our Fall ‘17 products.

Cork Trims

tentree's cork trims are harvested from cork trees by stripping the bark. This is good for the cork trees and actually increases their lifespan. Cork is used instead of leather on our patches, drawcords, zipper pulls, and various trims.

Coconut Buttons

tentree's coconut buttons are made from a natural bi-product material. Our coconut buttons are used on our fleece, jersey and wovens.

Hemp

Hemp is one of the most sustainable natural fibers, grown without the use of any pesticides or herbicides. It is incredibly strong, naturally microbial, and also provides resistance to UV.

Tencel®

TENCEL® is made from sustainably harvested eucalyptus and is processed into a fiber using non-toxic solvents that are able to be recycled in a closed loop process also reducing water wastage. We use TENCEL® in our woven and tri-blend.

Recycled Polyester

Recycled Polyester is made from recycled bottles or PET that would otherwise go into landfills. Recycled polyester is used in our fleece, wovens, and tri-blend jersey.

Organic Cotton

Organic cotton is grown without any harsh chemicals or pesticides. Organic cotton is used in our fleece, jersey, and wovens.
