Nature is at the heart of everything we do. It's why we've set the goal of planting 1 billion trees by 2030. By choosing the right trees and planting them in the right locations, we can maximize benefits for the environment and local communities.

In 2022, our customers helped plant over 22 million trees across nine countries. Over their lifetime, these trees will help restore over 2,000 hectares of terrestrial forests, over 1,000 hectares of coastal mangrove forests, and hundreds of hectares of marine land. In addition to restoring vital habitats, these trees will store over 9.5 million tonnes of CO2e. To put this number into context, it’s the equivalent of taking over 2 million gasoline-powered vehicles off the road for one year.

Planting Spotlight

In 2022, we collaborated with Pratibha Syntex, a trusted supplier of our Fairtrade organic cotton garments, to plant agroforestry trees in cotton fields.

This type of planting project integrates trees, crops, and livestock, creating environmental, economic, and social benefits. The initiative will enhance farmers' livelihoods and foster resilient cotton production systems. Our long-term goal is to use this regeneratively farmed cotton in our products.
