The sweater is comfy and cute but immediately the top of the zipper weirdly had a part of it that poked into my skin and made it super itchy unless I had something with a high neck underneath it. I've taken to just putting a piece of duct tape over top of the top of the zipper and never zipping it all the way up and now the scratchy bit doesn't irritate my skin. The zipper is plastic and works to zip, at least, but clearly isn't a very good quality zipper, given the immediate lack of quality control. I wouldn't be surprised if the zipper breaks, down the line, given the weakness of the plastic. But that hasn't happened in the three months I've had it, so I can't say. I also noticed that a seam in the back was made with no seam allowance in one small part and that's meant that there's now a hole there. This appears to have been a construction mistake, but again, speaks to a lack of quality control. Overlocked seams are generally not the best for longevity and quality, but are usually a reasonable option for a sweater, as the seams aren't under a lot of stress, but they still need to be made well and not constructed to have holes in the seams. I don't know if this was sewn wobbly in that one part (it doesn't look like it, since the fabric lies nicely when flat) or if for some reason it was sewn and then the seam allowance trimmed super short just in that one spot and left alone with nothing to hold it together but a prayer, but either way, the hole is there. The overlocking is…
