This vest is very comfortable to wear on its own or to layer over another jacket or hoodie. The soft knit collar and waist are stretchy and work well against clothing. The insulative qualities of the synthetic insulation are good, but not exceedingly warm. Armholes are a good size. The face material is a softer nylon, but still feels tough enough. The only drawback is that the inner chest pocket could be slightly bigger.
