Assuming the average Canadian drives 15,200km per year, we divide that number by 12 months and see that people drive 41.643km per day

The average car uses about 404 grams of CO2 per mile. To translate from miles to kilometres, we divide miles by 1.609, and simultaneously divide grams by 1.609. This means the average car uses about 251 grams of C02 per kilometer.

To calculate how much this averages a week, we will calculate the yearly rate by multiplying by 12 and then dividing by the weekly rate of 52.
